For Brian's Birthday, the Doyle family (& myself) went to a Bruins Game.

Since my birthday was on Friday the 13th this year and Kevin's birthday is the day before Halloween, Patrick made us a black cat cake using his grandfather's secret chocolate cake recipe and his mother's secret chocolate frosting recipe. It was absolutely delicious.

We officially adopted Mumkin one year ago today (11/14/08)! In that year she has not only put on a few pounds but also learned to either lay in the middle of everything or to squeeze into the smallest corner possible (after which she always looks at us triumphantly).

I've never liked eggs and this really ruins breakfasts for me. I know that I have the potential to be a great lover of omelettes (aren't they basically just tortilla-less quesadillas?) But all that egg stands in my way.

I'm started to enjoy eggs more and more and a new favorite is Kevin's leftover spaghetti, which he fries up with a couple eggs, cheese and lots of pepper. Delicious!
